Next Steps – Leadership Training

Keogh Bay’s Indigenous Leadership course helps Aboriginal participants think carefully about their aspirations and the barriers that hold them back from leadership roles in business or employment.

The course looks at:

• the skills and capabilities that each participant brings with them into the program
• the experiences of seasoned Aboriginal leaders from areas including business, law, ceremony and Aboriginal corporations
• key leadership skills, including assertive communication

Each participant leaves the program with a personalised development plan that maps the long-term pathway to leadership. This plan outlines the kind of support they will need from their family, employer if they are to step up into leadership.
