EON Foundation (eon.org.au) contracted Keogh Bay Consulting to assist with due diligence assessment of nine communities in the Roper River region or the Northern Territory on their suitability for involvement in EON’s Thriving Communities Program.
The Thriving Communities program aims to support communities to develop edible gardens and improve the nutrition of community kids.
In June and August 2018 Jenny Hurse (EON operations manager) and Matt Wrigley and Dr. Jan Robertson of Keogh Bay Consulting visited nine communities over two weeks, spending a day in each location meeting with community members and agency representatives.
Keogh Bay utilised a Community assessment tool to record key information and compare overall suitability and make recommendations to EON about how to prioritise their investment.
